Already aware of key issues raised by members of the public in relation to the proposed development of the wider Buckton Fields site, Ensign undertook further public consultation specifically relating to emerging proposals for the Buckton Fields East site. This took place between November 2007 and January 2008 and included a public exhibition held on 12 December 2007 attended by approximately 250 people.

Following the exhibition Ensign received over 100 completed feedback forms. All of this feedback has been thoroughly analysed and, where possible, constructive comments have been taken on board to help shape the outline planning application submitted for Buckton Fields East.

As with consultation relating to Buckton Fields, the form of the consultation programme for Buckton Fields East was developed in accordance with the preferred format outlined in Daventry District Council's Statement of Community Involvement (adopted March 2006) and discussed with Council officers. This programme of consultation has now closed.

The Statement of Community Engagement (SCE) below was subsequently prepared setting out how, where and when the community was involved in the preparation of Ensign's outline planning application for Buckton Fields East. The SCE also demonstrates how feedback gathered from the community over the course of the consultation programme helped shape the outline planning application for Buckton Fields East.
